NASA has released a full video of the first flight of the Ingenuity helicopter in the Jezero crater on Mars. The video was recorded using the 🎥 MastCam-Z camera located on the Perseverance rover, which observed the test flight of the helicopter from a distance of 65 meters. The entire flight lasted just under 40 seconds.

The propellers of the helicopter spun up to 2400 rpm, after which Ingenuity switched to takeoff mode. He soared to a height of three meters, hung and smoothly descended into the landing zone. The entire flight took place offline according to a pre-loaded program. After analyzing the data from this flight, Ingenuity will fly more complex sorties. His mission is designed for 30 days☝.
